Air Nozzle Type Peening Machine

  • This machine makes it possible to focus the shot intensity and volume
  • The Air nozzle type machine projects the abrasive from the nozzle by the force of compressed air. Air is best suited for localized peening treatment. Setting the shot volume, the blast angle and blast distance is quite easy with the NC system thus achieving optimum conditions.
  • This type is best suited for piece-by-piece peening treatment.
  • Features:
    • Possible to concentrate the blats stream
    • Blasting of shot as fine as 50 micron in diameter is possible to obtain the highest peening effect without roughing the work surface

Wheel Type Shot Peening Machine

  • This machine is capable to project large quantities of abrasives to cover extensive work surfaces resulting in high productivity.
  • Our Impeller type machine has one of multiple impeller units (blasting wheel) rotating at the speed of 2,500 to 3,500 rpm that throws large volume of abrasives by centrifugal force. The Impeller type machine offers peening operation of high versatility from small items (screws, chain plates and other parts) to large work pieces (stabilizer, crankshaft and other similar size items).

  • Multi-stage Shot Peening: Project blasting media having different sizes in preset sequence with preset interval. Possible to impart residual stress over a wide area and deeper below the surface

  • High-Hardness Shot Peening: This method projects high hardness shot to the work. Effective for imparting high residual stress
    • Examples of work: Gears, shafts, springs
  • Fine Shot Peening: Shot of very fine size is used. Possible to impart the peening effect to top surface layer of work
    • Examples of work: Gears, shafts, and others
  • Hot Shot Peening: Conduct shot peening to the work having high hardness in hot atmosphere. Possible to impart deeper and higher residual stress distribution than in normal temperature
    • Examples of work:Suspension spring and others
  • Stress Shot Peening: Perform shot peening so as to generate tensile stress on the surface of work. The peening effect is augmented by the synergy of residual stress created by shot peening and the spring back of work material

  • Peen Forming: Forming process utilizing the spreading of work surface by shot peening and thesubsequent deformation of work profile. Possible to cope flexibly with such conditions of work as the complicated curve and partial variation of plate thickness, extreme variations of work size, and other work characteristics.
